Glory Bee began in 2020 with the pursuit of a long-held dream. See, I've always been fascinated by bees. Growing up in the Caribbean, I have memories of spending time in my grandmother’s garden in Trinidad, where I watched the bees foraging amongst the hibiscus flowers and ginger lilies that grew in abundance. I remember being fascinated by how bees were able to produce the honey I saw being sold in old rum bottles at the road side. During the pandemic I decided to start something that I normally wouldn’t have the time or opportunity to do. My journey began with the mentoring of a dear beekeeper friend, who inspired me to actualise my idea to manage my own beehives, with healthy bees foraging in their natural environment. Glory Bee was founded with three values: Respect for our bees Respect for the environment we share Respect for the vital role that bees have on our planet.
